A Law Firm is a firm of lawyers, whose primary function is to advise clients about their legal rights and to represent them in civil or criminal cases. There are different types of law firms depending on the jurisdiction in which the firm practices. These include sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporations, professional associations, and limited liability partnerships (LLP).
Law firms vary in size – from solo practitioners (solo proprietors) to 2-50 lawyers (small firms) or 50-200 lawyers (larger firms). Some firms focus on particular kinds of law, while others offer a variety of services allowing them to diversify their client base.
