Oahu’s
safe and relaxing environment makes it an ideal place to come
and study. Whatever education you need, Oahu has it all - high
schools, universities and colleges, business and vocational
schools, ESL and foreign language schools, driving and flight
schools, beauty and cooking schools, scuba diving and sky diving
schools, you name it and Oahu has it.
The
commitment to quality education for Hawaii's children began
more than 160 years ago when Hawaii's great monarch, King Kamehameha
III, established a statewide public school system. Since that
time, Hawaii has continued the journey in pursuit of excellence
in education. According to the 1990 census, more than 80% of
Hawaii citizens were high school graduates, and over 25% had
bachelor’s degrees.
