Annual Hawaii Invitational International Music Festival:
In this
two-week annual music festival in Waikiki, local and mainland
junior high, high school, and college concert and jazz bands,
orchestras, choirs, dancers, drill teams and other pageantry
units perform in competition. “Salute to Youth” parades are
also held at the beginning and end of the festival on Kalakaua
Avenue starting at Ft. DeRussy. Admission to events is free,
but participation is by invitation only.
